Sedgwick Plans New Operation in Coralville

August 2012

A North American claims management company is planning to construct its newest service location in Coralville.

Sedgwick Claims Management Services, Inc. (Sedgwick), the largest independent national provider of claims administration and productivity management solutions, announced plans to create a combined total of 212 new jobs in the southern node of Iowa’s Creative Corridor, contingent on the approval of available job training and economic development incentives by the Iowa Economic Development Authority and the City of Coralville.

“We are excited about the opportunity to promote job growth and service our growing client base in Coralville, an area that includes outstanding pools of highly motivated and engaged prospective employees,” said Bradley Johnson, Sedgwick’s executive vice president of disability and absence management.  “We look forward to becoming an integral part of the community in this great town.”

Transferred and newly hired Sedgwick colleagues will be housed in temporary facilities during completion of a new 40,000 square foot building breaking ground this fall.  The new location will be located just north of the University of Iowa Research Campus in Coralville.

“Sedgwick plans to hire approximately 60 colleagues before the claims management office becomes operational in January 2013. We expect to fill another 150 positions over the next 24 months,” commented Johnson. “Recruitment is underway and training will occur in November. Candidates wishing to join our dynamic organization are encouraged to visit our website to apply.”
